... we are fortunate to find Ristorante Bar Peter that has stayed open. It is thronged with motorcyclists sheltering from the hail. The lunch there is surprisingly good, and we are impressed with a Serbian waitress who speaks five languages fluently, including Spanish. She tells us that she is engaged to a Spaniard from the Canary Islands and will be be going to live there this summer.

We get through a relaxed lunch. Perhaps too relaxed, as we realise that we don’t have time ...

All the suitcases are stuffed into the car and poor Alexandra is crammed into the uncomfortable back seat. Miryam, Suzanne and Alberto share the three middle seats. Cesar, who is the navigator, and I sit comfortably in the front seats. Droit du seigneur!

... a spotlight - 3 metres ground visibility all around and then fog. By the end of the day he was able to competently ski down a number of slopes blindfolded. Day 6 was our best day skiing as the clouds had cleared leaving a brilliant blue sky and perfect conditions as we explored all of the runs from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. The views of the alps on a clear day are stunning and after 5 days of king, Tish ...

... where visibility was good. But the preceding three days were a magical time up here on the Alps as we were both able to test out all the runs in perfect conditions. The views of the surrounding Alps at the 3,650 metre level are awe inspiring and aptly matched by the quality of the runs which are plenty wide enough to negate their steepness. We can't say enough about the quality of service and ...
