... than but it sure makes one realise just how massive these mountains really are.
Finally I just had to force myself away from this magical balcony. Sitting in the hot sun here was just magical but as I had many miles to cover I thought I better get on my way.
Onwards down the last few thousand feet through the town of Tirol and beyond until finally reaching the main SS38 road to Merano.
I remember this road from previous trips and was certainly ...
... scenery, paid the €24 and went to the top car park, the little Peugeot nearly blew a valve. Walked around up top, but being on slippery ice next to steep slopes is not my idea of fun, we looked around and went into the lovely town of Misurina and had lunch. pleasant driving. This is a main north-south arterial route.
Stopped at Camping Corones. Luxurious site, with heated
sanitary facilities and a heated outdoor pool, but somehow we did not like it.
Full of Germans and very “ordered” parking.
