Dunedin a city of firsts...
Hi Folks,
We are just back from our 2day trip to Dunedin. It is approx a four and a half hour drive from Christchurch with no motorway. In fact there is little or no motorway infrastructure in New Zealand. Instead they have really good quality roads with lots of passing/climbing lanes so the traffic never really builds up too badly. They …
Heading South to Dunedin, NZ
Today was another early wake up time. After enjoying an in-room continental breakfast, we loaded on to our motor coach for a four hour ride, which was broken up by site seeing and lunch.
Our first stop was a morning break at a quaint little town called Timaru. Timaru has some really nice shops, and their architecture was reminiscent of the …
Te Anau/Gore/Dunedin
Kia ora!! This morning at Te Anau it was raining as it had been most of the night as far as I was aware. Today we are due to cross Lake Te Anau to the Glow-worm Caves. TravelPod Member ReviewsScenic Hotel Southern Cross Dunedin
This hotel is situated in the heart of Dunedin just off the Octogon. It is associated with the casino but unless you are interested in playing at the casino it will not impinge on your stay. Really comfortable beds and room facilities are excellent. Dining room a little lacking in charcter but food fine.
