... a great day and because we had driven past Lahti, were only about 45minutes from AK&Z so Sunday we drove to Jarvenpaa in the morning and returned to Kangasala in the afternoon.

Sunday evening we had our last sauna in Finland when we stopped with Pekka & family again, returned our hire car Monday morning and took a train back to Jarvenpaa. Time here in Finland is getting short now with only about a week to go........has all been wonderful.

Rosie and Julie went to Hamina to meet their host Ari and Rauni's eldest daughter Ninja. She is completing military service there. They had dinner in the mess hall, and were amazed at the number of tall Finnish men with buzz cuts! It was a good but late night for ...

... goodbye! It's a shame we met up at the end of my Suomi-trip, but yet another reason to come back next time! Tuesday evening, after the-world's-best-pancake, it is really time to go! Difficult to believe I am really leaving this country now, hard to leave. Leaving last minute as always, I rush my way to Helsinki. Still need to pay visit to the supermarket and no boat ticket yet, but about 1,5 hour before boarding I make it to the harbour and manage to get myself on board! Made it again ...
