Great hotel with beautiful modern rooms. Some good shops around. Close to the airport. Somewhat far from the city. Ride on the bus then half an hour on the train. or 20 min taxi ride.

Well we got away form Stockholm without getting run down a bicycle or a blonde, tanned, buxom scandinavian lady, though heaven's knows I tried hard enough! It took a while to work out that the smooth section of the paving was for cycles (I shouldn't walk in these areas or stand and take photos) and the cobbled areas for pedestrians. After a couple of hours, as we were passing a tiny uninhabited but wooded island called Furuskar, we spotted our first white tailed sea eagle this year, a pair in fact. They were being harassed by greater black-backed gulls but were blithely ignoring them. Julie tried photographing them and ...

I don't know if we'll use it enough to justify the cost, but I've found that I explore more when I have a card like this. I'd never actually pay to get into the creepy old biology museum with kittens in mason jars, but if it's free with the card, why not? I've stumbled onto some pretty great stuff that way (and I'm not talking about the kittens...) Card in ...

But I really liked this! People were out to move their bodies, to get some air and to loosen those limbs. Not to show off their new fancy sun glasses, pumped biceps, fake tits, brand-name trackies, or extreme yoga poses. Inspiring is so much cooler than impressing!
