First time in Sweden on our 2009 European tour to find a place to live. We choose Stockholm.

... back to the hostel and chatted with another guy from Switzerland who had been traveling with the older guy Andrew. We went and got some groceries for our long trips - he was going to Helsinki by ferry at around the same time as me so we walked to the station together and had a coffee. I'm now on the first train from Stockholm to Oslo (6hrs) with a 2hr stop over, then at 23:00 from Oslo to Bergen until 07.00 Friday morning. I bought a better book in the train station ...
... brings everyone out into the open air. Along the frozen river banks, in cafes where in outdoor areas blankets and reindeer hides are provided and in parks, people are capturing what warmth is on offer. Very pleasant ambiance and a very pleasant day to be out strolling and enjoying the day.

Great hotel with beautiful modern rooms. Some good shops around. Close to the airport. Somewhat far from the city. Ride on the bus then half an hour on the train. or 20 min taxi ride.
