... of beach towels. The clinic wasn't hard to find. They took pity on a confused English tourist and took a look at Saskia's toe despite being a psychiatrists. They probably gave it some therapy too. The psychiatric nurse cleaned it up and disinfected it, the way I'd been doing, but this time with some bright green antiseptic that made Saskia's toe look like it belonged to a witch. They said the stitches could come out tomorrow and they didn't seem worried about the ...

Both would probably give you splinters, as the chipboard they are fixed to was swollen and split with age and weather. It was only for the brave, believe me!

So, I set up the tent while the kids bounced on the trampoline. Then Nick made pancakes on the little camp-stove I'd bought all those weeks ago in England. He managed to set ...
Nurme, Pärnumaa, Estonia rachelkw... look, what's standing there? - Estonian, he is running." We were suprised, beacuse we didn't have any nasty jokes about Latvians. Anyway, by the end of the day we had reached Lithuania. We ate some sandwitches in a gas station, made some pics once again and caught our final ride of the day: a Polish lorry driver. Our first night went by in a Polish gas station, sleeping in a small bunk bed.
Viljandi, passed through Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia anniloo... but the bike was still there next day at 15 o'clock. I guess they'll pick it up at Monday.

The hotel was nice and our room was very spacious and had a balcony as an extra. We stayed at the spa level and the spa was 20 meters away, so as soon as I was done with CityBike we put bathrobes on, walked to the spa and soaked in jacuzzi for pretty long time. It felt pretty good after 280km of cycling, and especially after cycling in the rain.

The spa itself was small ...
Pärnu, Pärnumaa, Estonia nzhukMy original plan for the Baltics had envisaged roughly the same time in all three Baltic states, not counting first days in Visaginas. But the deal with Jonas Vilimas in Vilnius and Ruta's undefined plans eventually disrupted all that, so at the end of the day I visited some places I was not going to, and had to skip some I had counted on. One of the casualties was Pärnu, arguably the most popular Estonian town this ...
Parnu, Estonia the_wayfarerThis blog is now finished. I will stay in Estonia for a couple of days, celebrate the weekend in Riga, and fly to Singapore on Monday. I will be living & working in Singapore for about 1-1,5 years (well, that's at least the plan), traveling around the neighboring countries. If and when I manage to create a blog about my trips around there, it will most probably reside in blogspot.com. Life goes on. Enjoy every moment.

Parnu, Estonia eix... us to the veue to appreciate the idea that 100,000 people had turned up, 10 percent of the whole population of the country!! We then drove to the Old Town. We saw the Presidential palace and the beautiful Russian Orthodox church opposite. The town was packed wth tour groups. There were several Cruise ships in port for the day so we had to ...
Talinn, Estonia mrsmac... no way you would make the mistake at home because you get the card returned to you first and the whole reason your at the bank in the first place is to take out money so your not about to walk away without it. Unfortunately over there the machines don't swallow the cards and some guy picked it up and bought a couple of hundred Euros worth of computer software. The bank covered it eventually but not before I had to convince them that they could either contact the computer company and ...
