Marche ensuite vers le confin des deux mers qui s'affrontent par un vent d'un minimum de Force 8, les eaux du Kattegat à l'est se marient avec celles du Skagerrak à l'ouest. Pour ceux qui ne maîtrisent pas aussi bien que nous la langue locale, il s'agit tout simplement de la Baltique et de la mer du Nord.

... seminar/lecture. The speaker went over the history of Faberge and showed off some of the eggs that, coincidentally, can be purchased in the ship's store. After this lecture, Stephanie has decided that there really wasn’t a future in a career of food artistry, so she has abandoned that and is embracing a career as a Faberge Egg Historian.

... the weather was great, and the beaches are gorgeous. Leasoe is about an hour on a ferry from Frederikshavn, and is highly reccommended for those who want to get away from it all. If you choose accommodation close to the beach, you won't need to bring your own car as the bus on the island is free and you'll rent inexpensive bikes to get around on your own. It's a great way to vacation :)

We have dry feet again. After a four hour trip across Skagerrak, we have finally "terra firma" under our feet. Getting ready for a 9 hour drive to the Netherlands now. We'll see whether we have a sleep over on the way, or whether I am going to push it for a straight drive through.

On the Sunday, we went to Lar´s Aunties Birthday afternoon tea, and while the conversation was limited to smiling faces.....yeah the kids weren't wanting to speak English, the oldies just couldn't!! ... isn't that tall at all actually, but yeah it was ´high´up. :-) It was good way to see the whole town in full and I was pointed to where the Danish Royal Family holiday house is. From the tower we could see a white church point, and this was our next point of call. This was the town´s old church. With the town situated along the sea, the coastal winds blow alot of sand into the mainland. Unless you made an effort to sweep it away, it gradually builds up and one time this church ...
