Scandic Arendal

Early morning run in the country side around Amoy. Drove to Preikestolen and hiked it. The hike was billed as 2 and 1/2 hours but only took 35 minutes. Back on the road by early afternoon ending in Tromoy where my ancestors lived for hundreds of years. <br>

On our way at last! Having held the true destination of the trip a secret for my wife for quite some time now, she still has not a clue that we are not of to the Canary Islands. We cannot wait to see her surprised face when we tell her we are off on a cruise in stead. Still a bit wee early and thus tired, we are off to the airport in Kristiansand an hours drive away.

First impression - of the modern cement works - were pretty off-outing, but around the corner I found a delightful little waterfront village with a museum (and helpful curator who said she'd try to identify the English-speaking ferryman) where I did at least discover who the mayor had been in 1863. I looked across from the landing-stage to Stathelle on the other side... under the shadow of the bridge ...

Yaya. Tomorrow's the day! Finally I'm leaving for the heat and the beaches! :D Fealing a little anxious today. Got the travel-nerves. Do i have everything i need?? Probably. Bababababa Nine more days to go. More things taken care of now; Finally bought the ticket after some trouble with the payment. I've also bought a new camera, quite a nice one indeed. And it's only my third digicam in 3 years! who's to say i cant take care of electronics :P I've also ordered a travel-guide for southeast-asia, highly recommended by asbj ...

back to normal life.... I am now living in Drammen in my fathers house.... Working as a personal assistent... a nice job:) I'm missing all new friends all over the world, would like to go out travelling again.. but can't just leave work.. we'll see... maby I take a couple of weeks of to go back to Tapachula -mexico....

Yup, its official. Bjørnar backed out, and I'm all alone. Still haven't booked a ticket, but my departure date is set. At least in my head :P March 6th come to me! Thats when im gonna leave this godforsaken weather and head for the sun. I've still got plenty things on my to-do-before-i-leave ...

... was amazed, it looked very strange at first seeing others with their stocks (they also have walking stocks here of which many jokes have been made) but I have to agree you can go faster up hills with them - great training for skiing. Later this afternoon we are off to collect mussels and oysters, hopefully we get some because the guys are off shopping for the ingredients now as I write, for mussels in white wine sauce and oysters kilpatrick. Next stop Copenhagen.

Well, finally on Dec. 22 I got back home to Kristiansand. It's been really nice meeting my friends and family again, I even played a concert the 27th together with my brother and a hip-hop group called Darkside of the Force. The weather is almost unusually cold and the whole city (and country) is covered in snow. Even though it's freezing, it's kind of nice with snow during Christmas.
