Alesund town
A brief stop off on the Hurtigruten is at Alesund, noted for its Art Nouveau architecture. It is a small town and the two hour stop off was ample to see all its sights. A pleasant harbour town it reminded me of Penrith or Keswick in the Lake District. ...
Day 2: Alesund - our first excursion on land.
... walk back to the ship got us there in time for lunch and the afternoon was spent relaxing, napping, reading, and such. We are fortunate to have good WiFi on-board so that keeps us in touch with home.
This was our first official dinner on-board at an assigned table. It began at 19:00 hours and the menu was MENU.
No thrilling evening activities took place - this is a very quiet ship.

Two of the highlights for me on this stop? I saw two cats - one in a basement apartment window and one fluffy and friendly kitty on the sidewalk. Sigh, I miss my kitties. Hmmmm, why don't I sigh every time I see teenagers? Must be because they can text and email me back.
