It was our first day cycling through Denmark. Our last day of carrying equipment. One cycle away from a comfy bed and a roof over our head. We left at 10am after a filling breakfast at the campsite. More great countryside and ****** signs, but eventually we drove into the village of Jelling and then found the site of the Jelling stones, mounds and church! After visiting the cathedral we went for a wander around the attractive town.
We then moved on further into Denmark to the historic town of Ribe
We woke up to a perfect sunny day without wind and of course that is the day that my bicycle decides to break its chain. Fortunately and thanks to Google we were able to find a bicycle repair shop in nearby Skjern with some really accommodating people, and after waving, pointing and speaking our best Danish we were able to get a new chain fitted and we were soon on our way again.
