        ... the plane to start my travels.I had a huge boulder feeling lodged deep in my stomach.

        ... relax in a bed since we will be without beds for the next two nights. When check out time came we noticed the rain had turned to snow so we asked for a late checkout. The lady at reception said that we could use the room for as long as we needed for the day because the cleaning lady had already left today. Pretty good news if you ask me.

        2) Public Restrooms
        Public restrooms in Sweden are so much nicer than the ones in the United States. Most often, the restrooms are pockets of four individual rooms clustered together. Each room has its own toilet, sink, and mirror and are used by both men and women. I have come across some gender-separate bathrooms, but each "stall" has its own sink and mirror in it as well. I think Swedes like their comforts.

        ... m quite thrilled about the Northern Lights. However, there has been so many other exciting things going on as well. LURC has been doing a fantastic job of organizing events and parties for the exchange students to participate in. This week, they organized a city tour that started at the Kulturens Hus Luleň (Luleň's Cultural Center). From an urban planning/civil engineering standpoint, I found it interesting to see how Luleň integrates pedestrian walkways with bicycle routes. ...
