Husky sledding at Lyngsfjord
... a stunning setting. Our guides were excellent. Katherine was half Scottish and had spent time living between Falkirk and various towns in Norway. She fell in love with dog sledding whilst studying in Kirkenes. It was great to hear her stories about the husky races that take place each year, including the Finnsmark race which is 1000km from Alta to Kirkenes and back. Tromso
... seul. Ce Polarmusée qui comporte de nombreuses salles a le gros avantage de vendre un petit guide en français pour la visite, mieux que le musée Samis. On ice-covered roads we head further to the west to our high valley where we find an excellent location. Here the sky ...
Arctic circle hear we come
Yay we arrived in Tromso!!!!! Stayed in very nice hotel as we were preparing for the 2 day dogsledging tour for the following day!!!! Tromso is very nice - snow village with beautiful harbour surrounded by hills and mountains and under many centimeters of fresh snow. We had gourmet pizza for dinner and a single beer - as Norway is the most expensive country we have ever been to. Almost 8 pound for a beer (and not much cheaper at the bottle shop/ 711). ...
