Really nice room, very helpful staff particularly the concierge.
Lunch had to be brought twice as it was cold and took for ever to arrive. Bit like Fiji time.
          Location is good.

... back to the Palace for a tour of the Royal Apartments at 2PM. Unfortunately that didn’t transpire since a thunderstorm decided it had priority over our plans. Heavy rain and lightning doused the area for about 2 hours. As it was clearing I decided to make a quick run to the train station (30 minute walk each way) to get Judy her souvenir Starbucks cup from Stockholm. The weather cleared and we continued our exploration of the Gamla Stan. We visited ...

          ... what we did.

The ship docked at the Frihamne pier, some way from the city centre. Our original plan was to take a taxi into the city again, then do a hop on hop off boat cruise that operates around the harbor. But upon disembarking we decided to check out the two hop on hop off bus/boat companies operating in competition with each other and offering bus tours right from the ship. We only wanted to see if we could buy our boat tickets there, but in ...

I am a huge fan of pretty much everything Roald Dahl, having read all of the greats when I was younger. I even hijacked the reading program for two weeks in a Year 3 class last term because I hadn't read one in a while, and we read together and completed all of our work on ...

The house is in a gorgeous area of forest, with groundcover of heather, blueberries, lingonberries and lichen...overlooking the Baltic sea. Ulf and Suvy, Sus's parents make us feel very welcome, and we take a walk, have dinner of pea soup with punsch...and settle in for some games ...

... Stuart has been developing a bit of a cold so we decided to just chill in the sun by the lake on the last day and just took things slowly. Sweden is so beautiful that you don't have to go right into the city to enjoy such a gorgeous country. The day we did go into town though was really lovely, very big day. I developed families for my blisters, which I like to think is a sign of a great tourist! We had quite a ...
