    Great spot for a stopover,
Centrally located with everything within the town easy walking distance.
Staff were great, cheerful and helpful.
Menus were good and well priced.

About 15-20 minutes walk out of town on the main street which suited us very well.

The Sawridge inn was welcoming (ok, so we had an aussie on the front desk) and the decor was quite reasonable. On first impressions walking through the front doors the hotel appears roomy and options exist for meals or a few drinks.

The suite we had was a fabulous size though the bathroom vanity could have been a bit bigger.

Breakfast was not over-priced compared to many hotels Ive stayed at and the choice wide enough to suit most people.

Outside, the squirells were quite good entertainment and if you drive a car there was plenty of parking.

Lastly, the hotel has a guest laundry which, to any of us travelling for an extended period, is most welcome and cost effective.

... glory. After th lake, we headed back to the canyon and geared up for our hike, although it was meant to be pretty easy. It was a pretty nice walk through the canyon, but the best bit by far was when we stumbled on a couple with 3 german sheppherds. 1 mum and her 2 3 month old pups actually, and the pups were having their first swimming lesson. Sooooo cute!!! This place is not at all good for our desire to get a dog.

Sunday already I feel like the days are going too quickly. I have not been able to keep up with everything. I am still really enjoying the tour. This is truly an excellent tour and what I think helps is that the guide knows her stuff. Every time you enter a new place you get the full update on the things to see and do. The places ...

    Jasper (07/08)

Today we had another delayed start, this time not of our own choosing but trying to sort out issues with Internet Banking. At times on these travels it has seemed that all the banks have tried everything possible to stop us spending the money we had saved up and put in prior to the start.

Banking sorted (well sorted for now, the rest of the issues we decided could wait for another day) we drove to Maligne Lake. The lake ...
