    Great spot for a stopover,
Centrally located with everything within the town easy walking distance.
Staff were great, cheerful and helpful.
Menus were good and well priced.

About 15-20 minutes walk out of town on the main street which suited us very well.

The Sawridge inn was welcoming (ok, so we had an aussie on the front desk) and the decor was quite reasonable. On first impressions walking through the front doors the hotel appears roomy and options exist for meals or a few drinks.

The suite we had was a fabulous size though the bathroom vanity could have been a bit bigger.

Breakfast was not over-priced compared to many hotels Ive stayed at and the choice wide enough to suit most people.

Outside, the squirells were quite good entertainment and if you drive a car there was plenty of parking.

Lastly, the hotel has a guest laundry which, to any of us travelling for an extended period, is most welcome and cost effective.

... could see Jasper town....all the surrounding lakes, Maligne Canyon and Lake where we were the day before and of course all the mountain ranges! We even had a light dusting of snow coming down at the top which against the sunshine and blue sky looked amazing. With only a few people up on the top and a nearly empty restaurant we had a second breakfast (hobbit style!) at the top over looking the mountains and met a super friendly restaurant manager who ...

... I had been told that if we had to turn back early we would still appreciate the extra views gained with every 100m. It was true. We were so lucky that the weather was good enough on the one day we were here to allow us to get to the top.

The views from the top of the tramway were great. From the top of the mountain the 360 degree views were magnificent …. See the photos. We may have posted heaps, but we took many more and a video. We celebrated back at the ...

... trying to take it to the water and stuff, haha kids! After chilling we drove back into town and went to Tim Hortons to use there free Internet! We did buy an iced coffee and a donut though! Had a good catchup with mum and managed to message everyone on Facebook as we hadn't had a chance to catch up with it all for a while. Stayed there until after 10pm when they were closing up. We found a good spot by a park to park up for the ...

... over my ******. And there was no blow drier. Made do with towels. Counted money. Doing well… but not enough for boots. Photos with 'bears’, stocked up on food supplies (incl DIY sandwiches) then back to station.

Train delayed 2 hours but sat and read local papers (murders, rapes, council stories – just like home!) You still coming to terms with Jo’s news and sad you can’t ...
