      Great spot for a stopover,
Centrally located with everything within the town easy walking distance.
Staff were great, cheerful and helpful.
Menus were good and well priced.

About 15-20 minutes walk out of town on the main street which suited us very well.

The Sawridge inn was welcoming (ok, so we had an aussie on the front desk) and the decor was quite reasonable. On first impressions walking through the front doors the hotel appears roomy and options exist for meals or a few drinks.

The suite we had was a fabulous size though the bathroom vanity could have been a bit bigger.

Breakfast was not over-priced compared to many hotels Ive stayed at and the choice wide enough to suit most people.

Outside, the squirells were quite good entertainment and if you drive a car there was plenty of parking.

Lastly, the hotel has a guest laundry which, to any of us travelling for an extended period, is most welcome and cost effective.

... move. The engineering is staggering and the interpretation is first class. One person's knees are still knocking however!! We got on the road to Jasper again somewhere around 5.30 pm. It is not dark here until 11.30 ish this time of the year. As we get closer we come across some Park's Canada Ranger's with a dead Black Bear (Cinnamon colour morph). It had just been hit by a truck that did not stop and then a young Asian girl hit the bear ...

Jasper looked to me like a typical ski and hiking resort village, plus all the old folks of course. The town was cute, lots and lots of overpriced tourist souvenir shops and one small supermarket. AND a Tim Hortons!!! YES. Day saved.

While waiting for the shuttle bus that was supposed to get us from the town to the hostel I met an awesome German girl and already then contemplated a change of plans.

      Everyone enjoyed it.
We caught taxi's back for an hour or 2 of snow play, and "quiet time" that turned into showtime.
Then off to Cavell's for a sumptuous dinner. We're starting to get really settled in ...
