Bubba Gump Shrimp, here we come.

We’re walking through the terminal (another long walk) to the baggage claim area and all of a sudden Dan starts laughing (where’s the camera when you need to catch a guy with a smile!) and he points out the iPod vending machine. Yes, that’s right. An iPod ...

One part of the display is a video that takes you down as a well is being drilled through the different layers of rock. They were working on this display, and we spent some time talking to the three men who created it.

We have no internet access in the campground, so we went to the Devon public library to take care of necessary business.

West Edmonton Mall

... s because she is going to NAIT, a photography college in the fall. She even let me charge my camera battery at the store while I walked around the mall. Next I decided to see more of the mall. But quickly I found myself at media relations for the mall. A guy a little younger than myself had me sign a whole bunch of release forms to get a media pass. His name was Adam and he was really interested in what I was doing. He was also very interested in what I didn't do like take ...

Ready or Not!

... now taking the "red eye" flight from Edmonton to Toronto, where I will -- if all goes well -- meet up with my mother, who is flying out of Thunder Bay, ON. She is very excited about this trip -- a present from me to her as we both love to travel and she rarely has the opportunity. Let's pray that the weather holds up at all the airports we use and everything lines up as planned!

Glowing Amber RV Park

On the way to Edmonton AB we pass thought Jasper Nat Park again and it was great as before. I was told by Joe my pool buddy that I had to see the West Edmonton Mall, well we did and it is big it even has a casino which we tried out so so. Ray and Christa

... myself back in my mind though. To the tuktuk drivers, fresh lime sodas, paneer, the endless train rides and sleeping on the hard, blue seats....I will miss it, dearly. I will miss the freedom the most though.....I think that's what I love about traveling. Anyway, I have compiled photos.....http://www.flickr.com/photos /redde_stijl/sets/72157604698724525/ I tried to upload them to this thing but its really difficult! Hope you go and view them.

Europe in T minus 10 ....

... while there). So I walk the darkened alleyways (cuz that's how I roll). And then some young punks that look like Crabbe and Goyle mug me! I am left destitute, forced to wander the streets of London forever. Then I wake up in a panic once again. *sigh* oh well, at least I'll watch out for muggers and guys who are going to lose my belongings now. Hopefully I can get a couple good sleeps this coming week.

Letting go to grow

... be a good Aunt. The saddest thing happened though. I failed at being a good Aunt. I made a mortal mistake when I was in a very weak spot. It really wasn't like me but it hurt them all the same. I know that they have seen it before with other members of my family but I swore they would never see it with me. I feel absolutely terrible but in a way, it was a critical moment that had to happen. It suddenly became clear to me on this trip that my boyfriend and I were not to be together. I ...

Family Day

... some room for one of the many desserts. We munched on a variety of pies, cinnamon buns, baklava, cake, and ice cream. I must say I was surprised by the amount of food I was able to consume though it was slightly less than usual. I guess I know what happens when I overeat and I am NOT signing up for that world of pain. Overall, there were lots of laughs, hugs, and I thought it was one of the best Family Days yet. Grateful for Family Day.

Journey across the Great White North, eh.

... at night; the arrow straightness of the roads and the night sky so big. I ended up driving all the way from Swan River where I spent the night to Lloydminster on the border of Alberta and Saskatchewan and only then did I find a seedy motel to rest my weary head. The total trip from Swan River to Lloydminster being about 1000km had left me a little delirious from all the passing kilometers. The next day only warranted an easy ...
