... where all the bars are, but still within 30 min walking distance. I take reviews on the net with a pinch of salt as most people only write them if they have an axe to grind? No reviews found for this place so thought should be ok and from the lobby looks cheap and cheerful, staff friendly. My room is a bit shabby and the first one at top of stairs ,which mean all guests will walk past it. As to other guests, I,m the only westerner here as all the rest seem to be over weight ...

... having it all dangle and sway as god (or nature) intended is just the best, most liberating experience ever (sorry about them mental images!).

(now this should not encourage John Winter to start going native in his swimming pool - god knows the boy needs little encouragement!)

Haha it was totally awesome, plus my travel group was stoked on free booze. Island #3: snorkeling Still not ...

      ... nice dinner.

On the way back home we stopped in at one of the bars on the beach side of Walking Street. Many of these are built out over the water, so we wandered right to the back where you sit in an open area, enjoy the breeze and the view and sip on a nice cold beer - we had Carlsbergs at 49 Baht because it was one of the many Happy Hours. Very pleasant.

Back to the hotel and off to bed - a busy day tomorrow....

... nannies chopped it up, and the boss, Bonnie, told me that the watermelon was not good quality! That's Gratitude for you! She suggested that we only give the children a small piece each (I think bad melon can cause stomach upsets).

We also thought it would be a nice idea to make the children monkey masks. In theory, this is a brilliant idea; something that the children could enjoy. However, two ...
