We have arrived in Bangkok!!! The flight was good once we had to deal with some jumped up little jobsworth!!! We got put onto a BA flight instead of Qantas for some reason but it was fine!!! Bangkok is incredible ... and very hot!!!!!! We are staying just off Khaosan Road in a hotel which looks like something out of Prisoner Cell Block H!!! We have been out and about soaking up the Thai atmosphere and we have loved every minute so far!!! Ben is on his second Pad Thai of the day from the stree...
Bangkok, Thailand benandem24After a fun trip from Cairns to Bangkok, stopping in Singapore where I met several people I had met on my trip, I only arrived after midnight, where Anja my mum's friend picked me up. The next day in the morning I was welcomed with a Thai breakfast with cooked rice etc (it is like a real meal) and then Nou (Anja's doughter) and her husband Tor took me to the Grand Palace and famous Khao San Road where all the backpackers meet. We had lunch on the sun side of the river - I don't even look at t...
Bangkok, Thailand cgassauerWe landed in Bangkok on March 19th 2008 night via flight AirAsia. We took the airport bus to our hostel which was Sawasdee Khaosan Inn. Everything in Bangkok was pretty convenient, depending on where u stay. It only costed us THB150 from the Survanabhumi Airport to Khaosan Road taking the Banglumphu route, which was very cheap for the distance. We checked-in into Sawasdee Khaosan Inn for Deluxe Triple room. The room was clean and all, except for one thing- the air-conditioner wasnt working th...
Bangkok, Thailand chelsina Hey Leute
Ganz ehrlich... Thailand ist eine richtig dreckige Stadt ...

We have decided to keep you all updated (bored) with our stories and pictures using this new Travel-diary-thing, so hopefully you can all figure out how to use it. The way it works, is that every time we write something on it or upload some photos you are automatically sent a link. When you click on the link you can view it and also reply with y...

So gutted!!! L Trying to figure out how to get from the airport to the hotel was a pain as some lady just hounded us about getting a cab.....600 baht to go direct....bus takes long.....we go direct...my taxi happy taxi......so we said no thanks and tried to walk away but the...
Bangkok, Thailand emsie00After a difficult journey with the two invalids (hehe j/k) we finally made it back to khao san road and my thoughts were confirmed - i haven't got used to the heat whils being in Thailand, it's just a lot hotter in Bangkok than anywhere else which is reallyt odd as we're further away from the equator than Koh Samet. So here we are back in the oven that is Bangkok. We have spent most of today travelling via pick up taxi, boat and minibus which was hard because Emma can't bend her leg or put an...

Bangkok, Thailand jennyreidI sit here in "awe" when thinking about how all travelers are the same. We all head out at the start of our journeys with big plans of "adventure" and the quest for "understanding." We even fly to the far ends of the world in search of it! Yet we all end up in the same "hedonistic wastelands?" We find comfort in what is familiar. No matter where we are in the world it always ends up in the same bar with other travelers, speaking English, watching some dull wanna be Tarintino indie film, tryin...
Ko Pha-Ngan, Thailand johnnynomad-- "Ouch... Jet lag" We'll it's 9:47am or is it pm? Which time zone again? After 32 hours of flights and 3 hours of sleep it's hard for me to stay standing straight. I arrived into Bangkok at 1am (local time) this morning and got myself a hotel until 9am, a good idea it seemed at the time... sleep here I come. Not quite, I managed to squeeze in a whopping 45 minutes of sleep and way too many hours of starring blankly at the ceiling. I have never had Jet lag this bad, I have to admit it's very...
