Hostel is good for the location and the price. Air con is an absolute God send in the hot muggy weather. Can't complain really, except for the strong smell of sewer in the reception/restaurant area,

Was nice enough though was surprised to have soaps etc but no towels. Had to buy food or pay to get internet.

After two planes and a long taxi journey we finally arrived on Khao San Road. It's just as I remembered which was comforting and horrible all at once. I'm really going to have to man up to this whole backpacker thing. A good night sleep & a fresh perspective will help I'm hoping.

Today was the first day spent as a whole group. After a pretty good nights sleep (my new ear plugs are AMAZING), I only woke up in the night because I was absolutely freezing from sleeping with the air con on, we have made a note of this for future nights - air con on low not high! We were up at about 8:00 for breakfast, we found out breakfast at …

Arrived early at Bangkok international airport I slowly made my way though immigration and the usual delay to find your bag it was off to Khosan and The Sawasdee Banglaumpoo Inn a rather small hotel of either a one possible two star rating with small but clean rooms and these days a good breakfast, its main saving grace is the fact …

Just after breakfast my driver arrived to take me to the airport for the short flight up to Bangkok, early morning and late evening is not a recommended time to be haggling with a cabby over the fare, hence the driver, no hassles what so ever. Being an early flight we arrived and were sped through immigration and customs in …
