    ... we made it to Parma and once we got there, the snow outside was so beautiful! Sometimes when I go on bus rides I look outside and it's just so incredible. There is nowhere in America that looks like this. I got even happier once we got out of the bus because after the spoonfuls of vinegar and a cube or two of cheese, I was pretty hungry and was greeted with a big plate of the best cured meats ever! Annnd spinach ...

    ... Then it was back to the churches, though some were closing for the afternoon by now, and a walk down the road to see the fountain Michael had discovered on his walkabout on the first evening. At night this is lit by colours, but it still looks good in sunlight. By now most places were closing (they do the afternoon siesta well in Italy!) so we decided on a long lunch ourselves.
