Up bright and early, so peaceful and quiet where we are staying it's lovely. Catching up with a couple who have a boy playing in the Australian team and willy knows them, so that will be nice. 1st game today at 8:30pm so can't wait for that. Off to buy some shoes today hopefully. Well no shoes, public holiday, bummer. Caught up with some old mates of Willies who are parents of one of the Aussie boy's for lunch today, gee the food ...
Feeling very refreshed today, had small breakfast which was provided in our room of dried bread and jam. Luckily we had brought a couple of bananas. Strolled around town, love this place, very small but so much to see. Beautiful shoes everywhere but have yet to purchase a pair, maybe tomorrow. Had a yummy lunch in a quaint little place (see picture), tomatoes and mozzarella cheese, yum. Caught up with Mitch for an hour or so which was great, he is in great spirits. ...
Had a quick 40 minute train ride to Parma, cute little town, got taxi to place where we were staying as had no WiFi or any means of communicate to let hosts know that we were here. Had a quick look around, even though we were shattered, it was only 10am in the morning. Not too many around, so had a rest, went ...
UP with the sparrows departing Nelson 7.30am, chilly on 2 deg, flight on time. Thanks Mark & Diane for turning up soo early and taking our car home. Left chilly Christchurch bound for Singapore. Flight was good and went really fast. Great food and service. Arrived in Singapore with a 7 hour wait, luckily they had 2 spare rooms available at Transit lounge. Up at 1.40am to embark on the next part of the journey, another 11 hour flight directly to Milan. Again great ...
Today is my final day as a HelpXer for Helen and David. And as it's not raining we're finally getting j to the garden to plant those potatoes! We've got our earliest start yet, breakfast at 7 with croissants. Divia and I start in the vegetable patch we started with last week, before moving on to two others. We dug up the dirt, pull out any weeds and then rake it back over the ground. I'm responsible for planting the potatoes. I line up the pegs, pull up the ...
