We are staying in Amsterdam tonight at the Hampshire Hotel. Our train went via Cologne and we were able to go out from the station and see the massive Cologne Cathedral. It's right on a massive square directly outside the train station. Handy! As soon as we crossed into The Netherlands we saw bikes, bikes and more bikes! Everyone young and old rides everywhere here. After our tour, we met up with Chews and went to the Apothecary and then on to a restaurant for apple strudel. It was touted by the tour director as the best in Cologne, but Grandma Smith's was MUCH better. There were lots of apples and it was tasty but very doughy in my opinion...I like a flakey crust.
