    ... bar and ordered Vino. I can actually order beer and wine in three different languages now, I'm a multi-linguist.

    Once the rain had slowed enough we walked back to the hotel to put the feet up for a bit.

    Wandered just down the road for dinner at a nearby Ristorante.

    Off to Levanto and Cinque Terre tomorrow.

    ... 11.00 am and a short 100 m walk from the station and we are at Hotel Europa, undoubtedly the smallest lift I've ever been in. Off load the bags and walk down to Porto Vecchio for a stroll along the front.

    They have a replica of the Spanish Galleon "Neptune" sitting in the port, apparently built in 1985 for Roman Polanski's film Pirates. Not much happening on a Sunday afternoon here. Late lunch ...

    ... up and down at least 5 times before she was comfortable and had a toilet stop later in the trip. Highly amusing but harmless enough. We arrived in Genoa and got a taxi to our hotel. I think the driver saw us coming as he charged us 15euro for 1km trip. We have stayed in a lot of boutique places that are in these old buildings that have been fitted out on one floor.     ... a good excuse to get a good cappuccino and wait for 20 min. One's we arrived we of course went through the jetset village with a few beautiful and expensive shops and we took some pictures.     We caught the train to Rapallo about 20 mins from where we are staying. Lee and I had previously stayed here with my brother and his family and enjoyed it very much. You can catch a boat from here to three beautiful spots on the Tigullian Gulf.
