    ... and insisted we had come into the square from the left. Always favouring the peaceful life, we set off in the direction Sue wanted and twenty metres down the alley, found ourselves outside a house of ill repute with upwards of a dozen 'Ladies of the Night' in various states of undress, adorning the pavements. Resisting the urge to produce my Seniors Card, we walked past them and continued on up the hill but they were everywhere.

    We found ourselves in Genoa today. We did a hop on hop off double decker bus ride. We found out this is where Christopher Columbus is from and saw many monuments for him and his house!
    Sophie saw something that she thought she might take up as a living: at a busy intersection on red lights a guy came out and did an amazing juggling act with battons then ran up to all the cars with a hat for €! Would be ok if she could juggle!?!

    ... really tasty. The jenga game turned a bit into making fun of each other's nationalities. Fun times had by all. Oh and some sausage, cheese, homemade bread by Boston came out, mmm. Had some Genoa sausage in Genoa. They also had the amazing idea of putting pesto on the bread with the cheese. Oh ya def will adopt that! I retired to bed "early" at 12:30 as big day hiking Cinque Terre is to follow. Kinda a boring entry I know, will try to spice up the next one ...

    We decided to make our first day trip from Lavagna - Portofino. It's a 2hr beautiful drive along the Italian Riviera. It was a cool day with chance of rain and we all brought along our rain gear 'just in case'. What surprised us was the heavy traffic just outside of Portofino.
