Well as I said up early at 6am. After a much needed shower to wake us up we headed down to breakfast. What a great selection! We finished just in time for our pick-up for the City Tour. This place is unbelievable. The buildings and architecture are mind boggling. It is hard to believe this is all built on sand and some reclaimed land. They use above ground irrigation tubing (like we try to hide under the ground) to water any plants and ...

The falcon is the national bird of UAE and is much treasured out here, so much so they have to be kept in air conditioned accommodation (that means in the car with the engine ...

Our first trip into Dubai was and expected history lesson - and ended up being a pretty awesome learning expedition. At the Sheikh Mohammad Centre for Culture we met a very unusual but blimmen funny guy, called...I can't remember but let's just call him Sheikh Guy. We came into a room and then took of our shoes, sat down in and around the food that was covered in the middle. Sitting almost on the floor on cushions they offered us some ...

... the water.. Felt liberated :) After swimming and sunbathing we had a walk in to the down town area, it's very old but feels authentic.. Very different from what we will see tomorrow but we are excited to see both. Then came back, got ready and went out for tea. We first stopped off at the executive lounge (we had a letter stating we could - defo a mistake tho,) in here we were first questioned but we produced our letter haha ...
