From Zadar we drove in the direction of Rijeka. After buying two polyacrylate windows, two windows broken in smithereens so far. We took the coast road. The reasons were twofold, quiet and views. The wind was from the south so it was relatively easy on the fuel consumption. Had a late lunch in Karlobag, the smoke still hung in our clothes later that evening. After Jablanac we had good looks on Rab, an island visited by Robert long time ago. Roberts' father recovered his sunglasses out of this...

Felt ok when I got up which is a good job as we are moving on not to far though only to a little place down the coast we have to get the bus there which only takes about 2 hours so not to much of a trek for me as still feeling light headed and dizzy which is nothing new for me really. Want to say a quick congratulations to Collette and Ste Ians sister and husband who have had a little girl called Layla Grace saw the pictures of her ...
Opatija, Istria, Croatia traceybelleSo we drive down to Croatia. We thought it would be a great idea to wear our bikins as we drive so we get tanned... brilliant plan... that was until we got to the border and thought, whoops. Luckliy there was a car in front and we quickly put clothes on. In my haste I put my dress on back to front and inside out.... The guy then asked if we had anything to declare and was in hysterics when we laughed and said only 3 beers ...
Still at the lake this morning, filling up the water, having a quick breakfast, taking last pics of this lovely place and bye. We are off to the Snežnik castle, check the pics.
Sneznik Castle - really nice building in the middle of woods, very well preserved, all newly renovated. Here we sould like to thank again to the lovely crazy man for telling us about this place. We don't ...
Sorry, too dark for any good pictures, but here are a few attempts. This place is HUGE, with awesome, massive caverns that blow your mind, very impressive and interesting. The remains of the original internal stairs are visible in many spots, built by the original explorers ...
Opatija, Istria, Croatia r.kornhuberAs soon as we pulled into Opatija we loved it. It has that tacky 1950's beach side feel to it. We were expecting there to be bingo parlours and old gypsies telling fortunes. As is the norm - there was no real beach just some nice grey concrete and a few big boulders. The Creach (our new word for a concrete beach) was swarming with people and matching umbrellas. We decided to have a picnic in some gardens overlooking the sea and then ...
