... and through various medieval villages. We had lunch at a park in another medieval town (Llagostera) about halfway to our destination. We ended up at our hotel (Hotel S'Agro) located next to the beach in good time, about 3pm. Total traveling distance was a comfortable 43km. Along the way every person we passed was warm and friendly with a cheerful 'Ola' or some other greeting. ...

Train to the city. Already 27 degrees and promised to be hotter later, so started with an open top bus tour. Barcelona is large and sprawling, so only did western side and the city beaches over 2 and a half hours. Gave us an idea of the city - very innovative in all sorts of architectural things. Stopped for lunch - I had paella, disappointing for the first try. Then the Picasso Museum, having wandered through some fascinating narrow old streets of the Barri Gotic (old town) to get ...

Up early to have the washing at the office by 8 am - no laundrette for campers. Then we lazed, ate, read and drank tea (John did computer work) until washing was ready to collect (wet) and bring back to hang out to dry. Cleaned bathroom, washed floor etc to fill our day while washing dried. Internet at the office only, very noisy. Very hot day, up ...
