I had bacon, eggs, and toast for breakfast which was free from the hotel. I am sad to see Tennessee in my rearview mirror but I am headed to Atlanta. I drove through the mountains and then stopped for lunch at Chipotle for $9.30. I only ate half and will finish the rest for dinner. I stopped for gas in Atlanta at Chevron for $36.90.

She was actually the first one that I saw many years ago when I went to Atlanta to meet Damita after becoming a full time employee of CNN. The department was the Public Information back then and I remember the rain when I came in. I had to pull over and called Donna hoping for someone to talk to while I sat waiting for it ...

... in the "ATL" a very nice Delta customer service agent scanned my boarding pass, gave me a hotel voucher and an amenity kit and asked me to be back at the airport by 6am. All and all the experience was very smooth (luggage stayed at the airport). The Quality Hotel (not the Ritz) was easy check in, clean, and even had coffee out for us "distressed passengers" at 530am. Shuttled back to the airport and a quick trip through security ...

... Aaron's record breaking 715th home run. There were also more tailgaters at this parking lot than the previous 9 combined. Inside a fenced area but out of the stadium proper were a number of monuments to former Atlanta greats including Phil Niekro, Hank Aaron and Ty Cobb. Once inside the stadium I learned it was the 239th birthday of the Army and therefore was chosen as Military Day at the stadium. The game ball was parachuted in by 3 men from the ...
