    After over 4,000 miles, 13 different rooms/hotels and visiting over 45 Timmons and 11 Wall family members, NOT TO MENTION Rosie's mom, day and multiple uncles, aunts and of course Theresa, Rich & Ellie Goiffon we are home.

    My back and left arm are killing me (Rosie;s favorite driving position.

    All in all, a great time.

    Believe it or not, we made it: We crossed the continent by bike!

    We had been counting down the weeks, days, then the miles. Finally, we came around a corner and the road just stopped. You couldn't go any further and we were at the ocean. The journey had finished.

    What did we do then? Initially, we had a swim, then we drank a toast with real champagne. There are pics. After that, a shower followed by a slap-up feed at ...

    Waiting for Weather

    ... holding up here waiting for a weather window Saturday morning. There is a low approaching Cape Hattress/Cape Fear that is bringing 30-40 kt winds, gusts to 50 with 10-15 ft seas. Fortunately it is nice and comfortable inside with the three heating units running. This also gives us time to go over the boat in greater detail to ensure that everything is ready. With 3 guys on board the boat is looking like a bachelor pad.

    ... we are still working on packing and finalizing everything about our trip. We are each carrying one hiking backpack on to the plane, so packing has proved to be a bit of a challenge, at least for me (only 2 pairs of shoes...really?!). However, our goal is to have a flexible, easy going trip and packing super light is the only way to do that.
