... the mountain. Eventually weaving through an area with a lot more vegetation, slightly jungle-like but without the heat. We took our packs off for a bit in order to get a little squirrly on a a mini boulder problem. It was slightly sketchy especially in hiking boots but it was so nice to touch real rock again...:)

Our next pit stop was along the trail when Bryan heard rustling in a bush. He declared it a bear (more likely a squirrel) ...

So I thought I would begin a blog... I'm not sure why, considering I'm not much of a writer or photographer but I thought it might be a way to let you all know what's going on in my life. I plan to create a hand-written travel journal, so this will probably just include pictures from my adventures and short blurbs although we'll have to see what happens :)

I imagine that the best time to see all these waterfalls is right after a good rain. Back at the car, we left the forest and got on US-64 West. In Rosman, we turned on US-178 and stopped by Eastatoe Falls. This beautiful waterfall is literally in someone’s backyard, but ...

Now I feel like I'm cheating, 2 cities in a row where I'm picked up from the bus station by a familiar face! The summer I moved into my house in Cambridge we had an extra housemate for a few months in the shape of Alan, of Greenville, South Carolina. Now I've arrived to return the favour!

I'm ashamed to say I take advantage of the sofa, cable TV and Netflix to just chill out for a day or so. I'll blame the Greyhound ride - 12 hours in total, 4 buses and one ...
