Here are some tips for studying abroad:

1. Always carry cash on you.

2. ATMs tend to give out big bills. Make sure to break one down for small change. Easiest way is to buy a drink from a store with a large bill. Having small change helps to avoid awkward situations, such as dividing a bill at a restaurant.

... and Derek. The supermarkets just leave me reeling with the vast choice of foods available and the way vegetarians, gluten intolerant foodies are catered for. As we left the store the heavens literally opened up with not only torrential rain but hail as well. We made it to the car, slightly damp around the edges but no injuries were sustained from the pea sized hail. The roads were awash and visibility was greatly reduced and not assisted by the poorly functioning air ...
