    ... Station , you can ride a trycle from there. ( Negotiable but most of the time , the fare is 150.00 ) better if you have some relatives or friends living there because its really far.

  • The entrance for Biak-na-Bato is around 30.00 for minimum , there is also a fee for parking.
  • Don't forget to buy pasalubong , you can see them everywhere especially if you are in Oriente Trycle Station.

    ... to see the self-flagellation. Lucky for me, it seemed this was not happening this evening, so we headed back when the rain began to fall quite heavily. Apparently it had been four months since the last rainfall - seems like our British presence had an effect! Up for a 7am breakfast of scrambled egg and some sort of sliced meat.     ... where we were going anyway and hadn't done anything else to deserve a tip. At least that's what we collectively thought so he didn't get a peso. Stingy Brits.

    We spent another two hours in the car to get to the next place. It's wasn't even that far away. The problem was the lack of highways so generally we are going through buzzing towns on single carriageway roads. That, and people in the road, rice drying out and Jeepneys stopping wherever they want. ...

    ... of the community, everyone welcomed us and it was great when teachers and pupils joined us in the office and got involved with the laughter - we had a good play with his cardboard cut-outs.

    Keen for some exercise, Uncle Bobby arranged for us to play badminton. The facilities were basic so we didn't have proper lines, but it was perfect for what we needed. Ramon, the very enthusiastic teacher joined us for doubles. David and I won the first two games ...
