... 8217;s. It all looked very cosy but difficult to imagine a family of six plus a horse and some livestock all living there at the same time.

We walked down to the bottom of the gorge and up the other side to get a better view of the whole town. After our picnic lunch watching a red kite glide on the thermals, we wandered back to the town and explored even more of the town before heading back to the campsite.

... cars. There were thousands of people lining the streets to watch the cars do laps around the city. We visited The Norman castle which dates back to the early 900s. It was amazing to see a structure almost completely in tact. Then we saw the St. Nicoli church which was one of the coolest so far. It was a medieval structure with a ceiling decorated with gold. As we were walking back, I heard a group of people chanting. Could it be a protest??? ...

... the roofs of the trulli. Alberobello refers to the oak trees that were used to make weapons. The area used to be covered in the oaks. They were “live” oaks never completely shedding their leaves.

We left Norwich at 8:30, swapped cars between Lebanon airport and Dartmouth Coach and were on the highway by 9:15 and at Logan by 11:15.  Chris met us just as we were heading into security and Kate was 5 minutes behind.
