    ... it had started to come down a little hard. However when we arrived back at the pantry the sum was out again making a perfect setting for the gazebo pictures. The north pole, santa's workshop was next in the agenda. It cost $18 each to enter and that included all the rides. It is a cashless park so they give you cards ( like old library cards) and all the venders and shops write down what you have brought. A very clever idea really It would make people spend alot more money ...

    ... Garden of the gods was nice. It needed to be done in the morning. By 11 it was 95.. So about 30 degrees plus. We found a mule deer...then thought about it after that it had huge scars along its sides... Went into visitor centre to find out that mountain lions are in the area... Apparently humans never see them...only run over them at night. Happy hour again tonight..... Rocky mountain national park ...

    ... But NOPE! We made it all the way to 17 and it was magnificent. Obviously the summit would have been amazing but I will settle for what we did get to see and after the zoo experience this was refreshing in so many ways. There was snow and clouds twisting and sliding up the slopes of the mountain. Every angle was a great view and in one direction light and occasional sun and the other darkness and clouds. It was like a whole different world up ...
