    Had a very good time with Phoenix and her Sweetie, Sky. She works at PF Chang in Colorado Springs and he works at another local Chinese restaurant. Phoenix took us to the Garden of the Gods National Park for a lovely afternoon. Amazingly beautiful!

    ... found out that we will have to do this every time we need money, as we can’t get a new card while we are here.

    After all the hassle with the card, we finally headed back to Colorado Springs. It was storming the whole way and was a bit scary, but the traffic was travelling quite slowly, so not too bad.

    Today grandpa wanted to get his window fixed, but he couldn't get an appointment until tomorrow so we went to the Royal Gorge. It was so hot and exhausting, but beautiful and interesting. Grandma had to go in the shade and finding a place to rest while we made our way across the bridge to the south side of the tram.     ... I have seen penguins in many zoos and NONE were this bad. The enclosure was worn and it broke my heart to think that this is the life these penguins would always have. There was nothing nurturing about it at all. We then wandered to the gorilla exhibit and this is where my hopes dwindled.
