Last time I have written was when we just arrived in Hiroshima. In Hiroshima we visited the Miyajumi island where the floating temple is except that when we arrived it was low tide and the temple was not floating but we could actually quite comfortably walk to it. But such a nice island with some wild deer and if I came again would definitely be nice to stay on the island for a night. We also visited the Hiroshima A-bomb memorial park which was quite sad ...
Sasebo, Kyushu-Okinawa, Japan jennisalmelaAs I was getting ready to go to bed, something just didn't feel right. I just had a weird feeling that I was forgetting something, so for some reason I decided to check our travel itinerary on our trip plan on travel.yahoo.com. Remember that at this stage we have already booked and paid for this Hotel room for 4 nights, due to check out on Wednesday morning (3rd September). Yahoo travel blog says that we have 3 ...
Sasebo, Kyushu-Okinawa, Japan apat... Still, it is surprising what 105 yen will buy in these huge stores. The bigger of the two is a 2 story shop! After returning to the hotel, our room was in the middle of being cleaned, so we used the opportunity to check out the roof garden. Basically the entire roof of the hotel is grass, which is very unusual. It was however an excellent view across the harbour, and up to the observatory on the mountain summit to the West which we visited on the bus ...
Sasebo, Kyushu-Okinawa, Japan apat... dishes, I wont be hurrying back there. I chose a "Chirri Prawn" burger from the menu, which was blatant false advertising. It had virtually no chilli, and virtually no prawns. The sauce was chilli coloured, and the prawns were individually placed on the burger, each prawn occupying a few square inches of bun real estate to itself. Back to the hotel for afternoon naps, as the heat and sun had taken its toll on our energy levels. Dined across the ...
Sasebo, Kyushu-Okinawa, Japan apat... comes with wall controls, with which you can manually adjust the exact aim and pressure of the spray, as well as specifying whether you want a jet-stream or a fountain to spritz your undercarriage. One major flaw I have found with all other Japanese toilets is that they leave your South end very very wet, which must then be dried with the toilet paper which goes to pulp. Not so with this toilet. It has a temperature controllable blow-dry option, leaving your ...
Gruss Ralf
Huis Ten Bosch, Japan schwateInterestingly, Nagasaki was not the intended target for the second atomic bomb. Fortunately for Kokura it was a cloudy day, unfortunately for Nagasaki it was clear. Heiwa-koen is the name of the Peace Park here. The fountain is meant to look like the wings of a dove, symbolizing peace. The park is near the epicenter and ...
Nagasaki, Japan gypsymichelleI have been having problems with my lover back the last couple of days, I think it all the walking and carrying my back pack. I told the lady, who rents out the rooms, about it yesterday when I came home. She suggested that I got a massage as that would surely help, I couldn't see any harm in that so she called a masseuse, that d house calls. Now calm down boys, I know what you are thinking ...
Nagasaki, Japan asn75... machine was put on the table, and the singing could begin. We all had a turn, I sang 'My Way' with went down really well, and I had a dance with Misaki while one of the other guys was singing. We stayed for about an hour being taken good care of by our hostesses, I got my second glass of Hennessey in a whiskey glass without ice or water, which impressed my Japanese friend a lot. Unfortunately I had my curfew; otherwise I would have stayed longer ...
Nagasaki, Japan asn75I forgot to tell you about our taxi trip home yesterday. We didn't finish our meal till 10:45, which meant that we couldn't walk home and make curfew. As we got to the tram stop the tram just left, leaving us only one option, to take a cap. The taxi driver obviously didn't know where the hostel was, so we showed him one of our tourist maps, with street names in English and Japanese, and pointed out the location ...
