I think that we stumbled on the best option for enjoying the full moon party, with enough distance to stay in an perfectly chill beach atmosphere.

Arrived at the train station at 6am, then a bus to the middle of nowhere then another bus to the port then a 3hr ferry, then a massive rain storm then arrived in paradise - Sarikantang resort!! Our room is a raised wooden hut but no electric points :( and no air con!! Walked along the private beach then went to same same for dinner - had tempura …

The grand palace was amazing, we had to buy these really funny long trousers to wear in the temple and then walkied around in the middle of the hugest rain storm, everyoine got soaked to the skin!!! then we got a tuk tuk back to the ko san road for a bit of shopping, some street food (salmon fillet on a stick and spring rolls with thai chilli sauce …
