... you deal with this situation. 10pm, a dark eerie Homestay, rain lashing down, no one to greet us, in Indonesia where the local, especially in a rural town, speaks very little English. Fortunately the neighbouring Homestay, heard our cries of 'hello, is there anyone up there, we are looking to check in", came around and explained that the owner had fallen and was in hospital. Luckily for us this friendly lady was looking after the place for the unfortunate ...

Bali is still just busy as all hell Bali. However we went there to meet Ash and Jordan. That was certainly a highlight!!! It was great to meet them both again, and hear about all of their house and wedding(lack of) plans, and about Aaron and his girlfriend, and all the gossip from home. Mark was lucky to be able to borrow a long board from a friend of his for a few days, so he had a surf on a few mornings. We ...

... in stages to sweep away all foliage/berries fallen from the tall trees above us. then come back again to clean. Always there is a little rest between chores.

We swim several times a day to cool down from the hot sticky morning. The afternoon cools as the wet season storm comes on in. With that comes the smell of cows in roofed pens just over the fence. We don't mind, it beats the smell of hundreds of motorbikes if we ...
