    One a trip organized by the Mount Holyoke Outing club, I climbed my first hike ever! Day one we climbed Owls peak, approximately a 4 hours hike. Day 2, we climbed Mt. Phelps (the 36th/46th highest peaks in the Adirondacks) took almost 8-9 hours. It was certainly worth the view at the top, more so at Owls Peak due to the foliage. Although, Mount Phelps truly felt like an accomplishment with it being such an excruciating and long hike. ...

    On Sunday, Oct. 12th, we woke up, got all packed up and headed out of Plymouth, NH and set our sights for Lake Placid, NY. The drive was BEAUTIFUL! Full of more changing leaves and windy roads.

    There were a lot of cars on the road. We figured that we'd travel on Sunday instead of Monday, since Monday was the end of the holiday weekend and EVERYONE would be on the roads then.
