      Thursday morning Shane finished packing and Chris took him to the train station. Shane ended up barely missing yet another round of snow, since it came down pretty much the rest of the afternoon. I'll actually be meeting back up with him on Monday when he flies back to Sapporo to take his flight to the U.S. He has the honor of being our last guest and also the guest who has room in his luggage that I'll be taking advantage of to get some of our things back home.

      Since winter has come upon us we've been pretty low-key. February is going to be extremely busy for us though and we'll have to come out of hibernation.
      Monday was Super Kids. Rumiko, the pastor's wife who runs the program, asked me to introduce the vocabulary for the week.       ... bills because I`ve forgotten my insurance card. Now I`m out of money and can`t afford to buy the actual meds. So I have to limp down the stairs slower than an old man with a cane (keep reading) and find a post office a couple of blocks away. Money in hand I head back up the stairs and my leg is cramping by this point. I can literally feel the blood being pumped to it and then stopping in the location of the cyst.

      I get there at last. Get my meds. Another $30 ...
