Heading back up des changed some money at the bank of China and the man inside was really curious as to where we were from, he got excited when we said ireland, exclaiming "westlife" and reciting lyrics! There is a ridiculous shortage of taxis in this city, in India they were begging you to get in, here they really aren't bothered. Finally we arrived at the station to find that no one spoke english, a sweet girl in the queue tried to help as best she could and explained there were no buses to guilin from here. so back to plan a.

Woke up in our fancy hotel! Clíona was in such a deep sleep she was a bit confused where she was, beds were really comfy! Breakfast was in the "western" restaurant, well not too much choice there. Bread was a bit sweet and toaster was quite adventurous, bread had to go through it 3 times, lol! ... Clíona, Des and Cian would stand in the queue's for the cashier desks. Yay, Ticket machine had English instructions! Just one problem, we don't have Chinese ID cards... (They want to see your passport for everything here) Back to the cashier queue we went. Haha! Got our tickets fine and time to go through security now, we are not sure if they really checked our bags as you aren't allowed to have liquids with you, but Miriam had a bottle of water in her bag. ...
