... This is the hippy nude beach and the people-watching opportunities became instantly better! Of course, we swam too and ended up staying until the setting sun chased us out. We drove back to Ciutadella and found an awesome hotel. Our busy day ended with watching an amazing sunset and a full moon rise, and enjoying a great meal at a cafe just a few blocks away.

... No major castles or churches perched on high, much to Chris's relief. There was one little island near where we were anchored that was home to a "unique breed" of lizard which has evolved there. So we went lizard spotting but couldn't work out what was "unique" about them.

It was a great spot and the four days we were there flew by.

... or tie to floating pontoons which at 100 euros a night is a bit on the high side. So we are anchored in behind an island near the entrance in a fantastically sheltered natural harbour. Being the only anchorage means it gets a little cozy at times and tolerance to one's fellow boaties is called upon! It is then just a mere 2nm dinghy ride into the town itself.

Since we arrived the weather has become really hot and we are now swimming in water temperatures ...

... 4 coves and had the chance to swim in the crystal blue water. It rained a little, but for no more than 20 minutes. It was a good opportunity to practice Spanish as that's pretty much all I heard, but Marta, Jorge and a few others were helpful in including me in the conversations.

... due to leave from Gatwick were sent off to hotels by 7pm but it seems to have taken some time for the message to reach Menorca as we were not allocated hotels until 1am.
