... part of the day was when we hit a particularly big wave which really rocked the boat and soaked the entire deck.... The group of 20-something posers who had spent almost the entire day laid out on deck taking up lots of room while also reserving seats were drenched - a nasty wake up call but hilarious for the rest of us, as the deck was then so slippery and the boat so rocky that for the next 10 minutes they slid all over the deck banging into anything and everything - much ...

After class, there was some trouble as due to some admin error it looks like Monica will not be on the course next week. So that's not great! This afternoon we went to the Es Baluard art gallery which was interesting. A few pieces of local Mallorquin art including a small Joan Miro exhibition. A quick mojito with Monica, Trisha ...

... so made the most of that and baked for a little while before heading down to do my homework! Tonight - the school has organised a visit to a flamenco display - well I think it is a display - somebody else said we had to learn flamenco ourselves - oh the joy of not really understanding the language! It was only me and Monica from our class but a few others from a more ...

... although it really does take me back to those first few days at school - 25 years ago! I thought the lessons might be approached differently and just concentrate on getting by in Spanish, but it seems that this old school way is the standard method. Homework was finished early today so enjoyed a Puzzler by the pool - being so high (8th floor) means there is a lovely breeze to help cope with the 30C temperature... Dinner with Monica ...
