Heraklion is the main city on the Island of Crete. One of those places where it would have been good to have more time. By 09:00 we were up, fed, checked out, and taxied down to the ferry in a bit of a harem scarem way. Those drivers were nuts!! Honking and speeding and .. Did I mention speeding?!! The trunks were bungee-corded shut with suitcases hanging out! However, we arrived safely at the dock where we met our Hellenic Seaways ferry. I took a ...

Tomorrow we're off to Santorini at 09:00 on our first ferry! As of 00:19 my bags were packed and the alarm was set for 06:00 to catch a sunrise while still on Crete.
