We started out on the Greyhound bus from Vancouver to Portland, Oregon, and we arrived in a cold and windy Portland in the middle of the night. It was kicking out time at the pubs and the streets were full of a weird and random collection of people, who all seemed to want to talk to us as we walked around town, backpacks fully loaded and on our backs, two ...

... longer more scenic route through Death Valley but unfortunately it got dark before we got there so we cut over the top of Death Valley-heading straight to Vegas. Lost phone battery just as we came into vegas so didn’t know how to get to our hostel! Jack parked up outside a casino in downtown vegas and I went in to charge the phone (I didn't look dodgy t all:/). Arrived at our hostel about 11pm. Signed up for Thanksgiving Dinner tomorrow. Bed
