... and a lot of good food and wine!
We started at Mas les Comelles, north west of Girona - a working farm, including the smell of the cows, with beautiful accommodation, great food and attentive hosts. Then on to Finca Bell Lloc - a winery at the end of a dirt road about 10 km inland from Palomas to the south east of Girona. The main house had been renovated with fantastic taste and the winery was an architectural wonder that was ...

Near the church where, yes, the bells chimed all night long every 15 minutes. We've seen medieval villages a bunch, and toured the castle that Salvador Dali bought for his wife. ... information was there very short opening times. We had managed to pick the one day of the year when ALL the museums were open, but we managed to actually view none. After enough walking and a quick explore of the cathedral, we hit the shops, initially to buy a magnet. We entered in a rather artistic shop, which we later found out was owned by a lady called Helena, nice woman. A true artist who earns her living making and selling her arts, oh and a true Catalan as well. After ...

... estate aside a busy dual carriageway. Other interesting points of interest, certainly not found on a TomTom Sat Nav, included a sign for 'Panda Renting', I kid you not. I also saw a sign shaped like the flag of Catalunya that basically said "do we want to be part of Spain", "no or no", says it all. After passing what must of been 100 reasonable sized flags and a few pathetic yellow cotton decorated trees we reached our ideal destination. ...
