... we stayed a night at the wonderfully idiosyncratic Hotel Aiguaclara, which was rated 2nd in all of Spain by Trip Advisor’s 2011 ‘Europeans’ Favourites’. ... city wall, which gives wonderful 360 degree views of the city, a couple of church/cathedrals and some pretty good places to eat as well. It's a nice getaway from the hustle and bustle of the big city. One thing I like about cities with beautiful old buildings such as Girona is that they spotlight the buildings when it gets dark, making the town very scenic to walk through at night.
