        ... and honey! Amazing!!! We caught our taxi and made our way to the airport for our return trip home. After obtaining our boarding passes and traversing Security (interesting questions by Spanish Security), we hung out in the VIP lounge because... well, we could! We boarded the plane for the 8 hour flight to NYC. Flight was great and we caught some shuteye in the fully reclining seats. After a 4 hour layover in JFK Airport in New York ...

        ... west, it had spectacular views over the city and the surrounding coastline.Up at the top was the Temple de Sagrat Cor. A Roman Catholic church built in 1806 and renovated in 1902, it is a Neo-Gothic structure with a bronze statue of the Sacred Heart at the top. Another treasure we found up there was one of the oldest still functioning amusement parks in the world. Most of the original rides, some that date to the turn of the 20th century ...

        ... are now in Barcelona for a whirlwind couple days. We had a very late dinner at (of all places) an American sports-themed bar. Not a sports bar exactly, and no TVs in sight, but old US baseball and hockey paraphernalia all over the walls...and lots of beers - a perfect place to end Sean's birthday night.
