... into the city where Bern gave as a short orientation and we were free for the next 3 hours to explore. Innsbruck is the home of Swarovski Crystal and there were many of their shopping bags back on the coach :) We arrived at our hotel at around 6:00, settled in and had our included Schnitzel dinner at 7;00. Most of us turned in for an early night, as we have a 7:00 start tomorrow as we head to Venice via Verona to see Juliet's ...

... buildings were very old, but were in extremely well kept condition. We were told that the Austrians take great pride in how their dwellings and businesses are kept up, and it was really remarkable how clean the city was. We walked past Mozarts house on the way. What is great about backpacking with no fixed agenda or itinerary, is that you can make changes to your plans at any time, based on how you feel or based on things you read & hear. That was the case with our visit to Vienna & Kitzbuhel. We had not planned to visit Austria, but since we were so close to Vienna we decided to go there & since we were in Austria, ...

Innsbruck still We decided to spend another day here in Innsbruck, because Treas wasn't feeling that well this morning. I seriously think that she had over-stressed coming over the Bremer Pass, and so she spent most of the morning having a nanny-nap, before we took the bus to town, and did our usual stroll around. Now, a funny thing happened......we got off the bus, took 30 paces, and there, right in front of us was.....Swarovsky! Amazing! ...
