We all slowly fell in love with Slovenia, camping in the pine trees, swimming in the lake and chilling amongst the mountains. The campsite was full of Dutch teenagers making the most of the activities on offer on the raging river running past the campsite. A great couple of nights enjoying the surroundings, even with some traditional Slovenian music thrown in as we ate dinner on the last ...

We woke from our kind of sleep to stunning views from the windows as the train neared Villach and the Austrian Alps. ... fairytale. With the lake's beautiful clear water, island with an old church in the middle of the lake, beautiful green hills all around, large mountains from the Julian Alps in the background, and a large castle on a tall cliff above the lake, Bled definitely looks fit for a Disney princess. We also found the people to be extremely friendly and at least three of four times, we had locals approach us asking if we needed directions. We definitely appreciated their ...

After a memorable breakfast we bid farewell to Familie Rieder and get on the road.

Mick got a strange text on his phone just now. "Hi if this is Bobby just letting you know Nellie died. She was cremated Friday."We know we shouldn't but we really had to laugh! Commiserations to Bobby and Nellie, whoever the hell you are.
