... passes by had joined in I peeled off, as I was now heading the wrong way to get back to the hostel. Once I got back I discovered I had a left over packet carbonara from camping in Norway so I boiled a bot of water, added the mix and 10 minutes later I had a pretty good dinner, though distinctly lacking in vegetables. While I was cooking I chatted to a number of the other guests here, and everyone here is really nice. One guy in his 40's has been travelling for 4 months so ...

... church and a beautiful courtyard. However, the majority of the walk was through a busy, commercial shopping area. It was cold and rainy so I did need the shops to buy some warmer clothes. Mikel, Maureen and the kids drove to Amsterdam later that day after the train they wanted to take was sold out of seats (They drive into a city where virtually no one drives). We met up at the hotel which, thankfully was near the more picturesque waterways ...

... Saint Hubert, Manneken Pis, The Monnaie Opera, St Nicolas’ Church, River Senne, The Royal Square, Mont des Arts, The birthplace of Tintin and a few others. ... out yet another public transit system, we made it to the Fun Key Hotel. Amazing. They upgraded us from a small to a large room, and it was ready for us when we came to drop our bags off at 11.
