... didn't think it was too far away so decided to walk and although it was an easy walk the boys really weren't impressed. Once we reached the restaurant district I suggested we choose a place and eat now because there was no way we'd get the boys back out tonight. Now we were exactly dressed for dinner and it was only 5.40pm but thought it was now or never. Fortunately it didn't matter what we were wearing or what time of day it was ...

... my cheekily amazing peach cobbler and peanut butter and banana milkshake!!! Day 18- I can't believe today's my last day in the USA! As much as I want to go home and see my family, I don't want my adventure to end. The plan was to go to the cinema to watch Man of Steel, so we walked down Orange to the cinema, bought our tickets and had a drink in Starbucks before heading back to the ...

When we arrived in San Diego unfortunately two things made it readily apparent that we were in America. The first was the water film on the bathroom counter in the airport. I usually contribute to that in my own house so I cannot throw stones. The second was that I approached a woman in baggage services and asked her how she was doing before inquiring as to where Lucy's skateboard would be delivered. "Hey how are you doing?"

... Her name was Jennifer and she took us to a 'dive bar' called The Waterfront. I had no clue what a dive bar was when they mentioned it at first... It's a type of small bar where they only serve beer and wine, no fancy drinks like cocktails etc. The Waterfront is said to be one of the oldest bars in San Diego, which serves lots of different craft beers. I tried a few different ones, my favourite one was a Belgian style lager. Surprise, ...
