    ... before his untimely death.

We left after noon for the 2 1/2 hour drive back to San Diego. Dinner was at the Stone Brewery in Escondito, CA. What a beautiful place with plants and water gardens. The food was fantastic and so was the beer!

... you get in Mexico. Not sure I agree with this.. The food I had was very nice, but by no means the best Mexican I've ever had! And I'm from Europe, haha! Can't wait to have a burrito at George's favourite cantina in San Jose! After lunch we went to Ocean Beach, which was another massive white beach in the northern part of San Diego. Day three was all about visiting Universal Studios. Well, visiting Universal Studios and a long, slow drive down to San Diego, but nothing interesting happened on that stretch of the journey so I won't go on about it. Universal Studios, however, was an absolutely amazing experience. From trying to get let in ahead of everyone else (I managed to get to the very front of the queue, but they weren't budging on the entry time), to going on the brand new, ...
