Today was beach-day. First we went to the Jolla Beach and later we drove to the Mission Beach. After a stroll on the beach, we drove the harbour drive to the Maritime Museum and parked our car there and walked around the harbour. In the evening we went to the fashion valley mall.
July 12th to July 14th
Time to move and get closer to CA. Took scenic route 89A thru Jerome (a neat little city we want to go back to) and Yarnell, AZ which was still reeling from their recent fire that burned many homes and killed 19 firefighters. We joined I-10 at Quartzite, AZ and spent the night in Ehrenberg, AZ which is at exit #1 in AZ and on the Colorado River.
Before leaving the next morning, we visited a Pioneer Cemetery to geocache and a Fresh ...
... security. He went through fine and arrived in San Jose and was met by his mother without incident. Saying goodbye to Charlie in an airport is probably just a preview of things to come.

... We took a bus around the whole zoo to start with, and then just strolled from trail to trail. Chloe was in buggy and fell asleep much of the time, as did Lucas later on in the day. By about 5ish we were all pretty knackered so headed home - thankful that our useless disorganisation in the morning hadn't ruined the day.
