So I put on my biggest, most sweetest smile and tried my luck in getting an upgraded to business class- but as I only had $60, not $1,300 I was unfortunately unsuccessful. ... thing I was roped into that evening was to play Apples to Apples with Hannah and everyone else. It was good fun. It's a card game where you are given 7 cards and there is another pack of cards in the middle. You take it in turns to turn a green card over, which has a name or something written on it. You then have to choose a card from you selection in your hand which has the same meaning, i.e. the green card says caring. You may have ...

... the sky shortly after that.

As soon as I entered Chicago, I felt things were different. Everyone was friendly. They talked to each other. People let others cut in front of them at security because they were so close to boarding time. In all my other airport experiences I had never quite seen that.

Once on the plane for San Diego, people were even chattier with each other-strangers small talked and asking if they were going home or for ...
