    ... of the houses are spectacular. After 2 hours or so we arrived in La Jolla and checked in to La Jolla Cove Suites, a sort of apartment hotel in a perfect location above La Jolla cove.     ... of meals and to see parts of San Diego. Meanwhile, I slept. Sinclair visited as well, and I do not really remember that either. And our friend Alicia, who we stayed with all the way back at the beginning of the trip in Raleigh and Wilmington was in town for business so she stopped in to see me as well. Sadly I do not remember that either! But I do know I was glad to have visitors and not be alone, even if I was in and out of it the entire time.

    ... But we didn't go on the tour that we talked about so that is all I know. It's basically a strip if restaurants, shops, bars and clubs that is all lit up and open really late. We started off with dinner from an American Sports Bar type place, tv's on every wall playing all sorts of sports, $3 beers, cocktails for the ladies and lots of American food choices.     ... much needed shade from the inland heat. Our a/c still wasn't working but luckily the nights were cool. Day2: Beach day, hooray! Finally... We made it to Ocean Beach around ten, staking a perfect spot right by tower 4. It was overcast and still cool. So relaxing just watching the water, surf was pretty good.
