Our favorite island of the trip (well, maybe)!
... pulled it up on the beach. (That was one thing we all liked about this island: no climbing out of the dinghy onto a high pier. Very nice to just jump out on the beach -- though getting back in and out to sea was a little more challenging.)

... and we learned its owner was a wealthy gentleman from Martinique. Various people seemed to be getting on and off; it took off later in the afternoon which was fun to watch.

Touring BVI with Wally and Larry

We departed a little after noon for Trellis Bay to be able to get Larry and Wally to the Beef Island airport early the next morning. We had a great sail up Drake Channel in ENE 8-12 and arrived in Trellis Bay around 1400. We went ashore to scope out the access to the airport (less than a 5-minute walk from the beach) ...

... we had the idea to rent a bare-boat (a sailboat you operate yourself). But as we both have never sailed in the 'open' sea, and sailing yourself sounded like a whole lot of work, we decided to rent a charter for a couple of days. We picked the Crystal Clear, as this boat does combination packages with Biras Creek. So we stayed at Biras for a few days, and then sail off.
