    ... was our wedding Anniversary! He didn't say it was 10 days ago! She gave us a free glass of champagne. I got all emotional...I didn't know I was such a good actor...Helen Mirren has nothing on me! The meal was absolutely lovely, and we tried something we have never even heard of...caper berries...Dave hated them, I loved them. We left a tip because we felt Amelia deserved one.     Had a good flight, good landing, fast through passport control, luggage arrived quickly, met with car by Emma's parents, got down to Southampton quickly in time for 9am ferry - it's Cowes week so ferries are very busy - told to wait until 11am! No joy in persuading otherwise. Oh the joy of living on on Island - western Kenya to Southampton no delays - Southampton to Isle of Wight....... Anyway eventually they must have taken pity on us and we got on 10am - thank you Red Funnel! Happy ...

    ... eventually arriving at a very nice spot near the town of Graffham. After setting up camp we took a walk along all sorts of forest trails and through fields of sheep before arriving in Graffham where we were able to find some Wifi and catch up with the rest of the world.

    And so back to camp in the rain and a good nights ...

    ... gas and end up wrapped up like a female tramp with newspaper down my vest! The second problem was that there were hardly any campsites open on the drive down so I would have to travel huge distances each day. I could just see me spending several days, freezing cold because I daren't put on the heating, driving for 7 hours and with little Treacle in the back with her legs crossed. This is supposed to be a fun adventure. So, to stop rambling, this all comes ...

    Then watched the demise of Brazil in the Railway Club - cheap guiness - surprised how many "English" were supporting Germany - how things change!!??

    Good night with brother in laws and nephew - even the girls popped in for a quick drink.
