Some churches on hills and in rocks

... with a 20 page menu of typical Bulgarian food. I was so hungry. But 19 pages of which were either alcohol or meat. Bulgarian food is a lot of meat stews, cheese and chocolate biscuit dessert. There was 1 page of salads, of which 1 was vegan! It didn't sound that exciting, cabbage and carrot salad. But when it arrived it was huge, a massive plate of vegetables, and so delicious!!! And with a side of potato wedges...! By the time we headed back out, unfortunately ...

... texture - a mixture between normal ice cream texture and a slight stretchiness, like mozzarella but more solid.

To keep on the theme of food, last night I went to a Chinese restaurant for the first time in Bulgaria. I went with Rosie, Fiona and a couple of friends of hers I hadn't met before. I hadn't known there even were any Chinese restaurants in VT before then, but apparently there are two or three, in the outskirts rather than ...

    Mum's here in VT

... and lots more. I had one of my favourites, chicken kavarma (chicken and vegetable stew in a clay pot), and Mum had the pork version.

When we got back the flat was freezing but I couldn't get the air conditioning to turn into the heater mode. Eventually it did start working, however. It turned out that because it was the first time I'd tried using it as a heater, it just took a while for the air blowing out to become ...
